NOTICE PURSUANT TO ART. 13 GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

The Data Controller is Hopkinson Waste Ltd Trading as HR Skip Hire (“the Company”), Slittingmill Recycling Centre, Eckington Road, Staveley, Derbyshire, S43 3YQ, registered in England & Wales No. 2874940.

If you are an individual the Company holds personal data on you in relation to the contract between us which is set out on a Controlled Waste Transfer Note (“the Note”). One of the three copies of this document has been given to you in which you signed your name and provided the delivery address for the service or product provided by the Company. The personal data provided by you on the Note comprises the name of the person ordering the service and the address to which the service or product is to be delivered and any payment details where it is not a cash transaction.

The personal data is processed to enable supply of the service and payment of the sums agreed. This record is stored by the Company securely for no longer than seven (7) years.

If payment is made by credit or debit card personal information required by the card payment processor is obtained by the Company in order to effect the transaction and passed to its card payment processor. The card payment processor is either Sagepay Europe Limited, North Park, Newcastle, NE13 9AA or Cardnet Merchant Services, Phoenix House, Christopher Martin Road, Basildon, Essex, BS14 3EX.

No statutory data protection officer is required to be appointed and none has been appointed. The personal data is not shared with any other organisation or individual save as required by law. No automated decision making (profiling) is carried out by the Company using this data.

You have further rights under the regulations:

  • You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold on you.
  • You have the right to have your data corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete.
  • You have the right to erasure, that is, to have your data deleted where it is not required to be held by law.
  • You have the right to ask us to halt processing your data if you object to the accuracy or purpose.
  • You can request we send your data in a commonly used data format directly to you or to a third party.
  • You have the right to object to how we process your data in certain cases. eg. if we used it in direct marketing.
  • You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK or the designated supervisor (regulator) in the jurisdiction in the EU where you are at the time of wishing to complain.
